After performing a search in CPJP Online, you can perform the same search in other journals through the "pulldown menu" at the top of the search result page entitled "Try this search in:..." Selecting a journal title and clicking the "Search" button will start a search using the previously specified criteria in the selected journal.
Alternatively, you can return to the search page and click the 'Search multiple journals' link. You will go to a page where you can perform one search which will be applied to multiple online journals in a single step.
So that you can quickly and easily move from articles to the full text of cited references, we have created hyperlinks from reference citations to the articles to which they refer.
When an article in CPJP Online cites an article from another HighWire-hosted journal, hyperlinks have been created which allow you to move from the original article to the abstract of the cited article. Likewise, links have been created to allow users of other HighWire-hosted journals to quickly and easily access CPJP Online articles. [List of Participating Journals]
These Inter-Journal links take you to the abstract of the cited reference. Limited free access may be granted to allow you free use of the single article which was cited by the original article.
To export citations with Abstracts for any CPJP Online article to a citation manager program, the following steps are suggested:
Save button.
If your citation manager does not support import of Medlars format, you may still use the Download function. After saving the citation to your local disk, open the citation file and manually copy/paste the information in the file into the appropriate fields in your personal bibliographic database.
A "thumbnail" -- a small version -- of each figure or equation appears in the text. In most cases, these thumbnails are sufficient to permit you to decide if you want to see the larger version(s).
Medium-Sized Images:
Clicking on a thumbnail opens a second window in your browser that displays a larger version of a table or figure, as well as the complete text of the figure's caption. You don't need any additional software to view this medium-size image.
Large, High-Resolution Images:
To view a high-resolution version of a figure, click on the medium-sized image or the link to "[View Larger Version of this Image]". Browsers can be used to view high-resolution images, but we recommend using a helper application instead. Read about obtaining and configuring a graphics viewer under the appropriate section: Macintosh, Windows, or Unix.
Please see Help with Printing for more detailed information.
